How good is the Swagtron Swagroller Unicycle?
The Swagtron Swagroller is a stylish piece of technology. The white body of the shell, blue LED lights, and wide folding footplates stand out among other unicycles. The Swagroller is ideal for city commutes. Use the Swagroller to ride around the city, the suburbs, or on a university campus. Use the Bluetooth speakers to listen to music while you ride the Swagroller. The Swagroller is environmentally and budget-friendly. There is no need for gas with an electric unicycle. Three hours of charging will get you twelve miles of maximum range.
The Swagroller is compact and portable. At 30 lbs. It weighs at about the mid-range compared to other portable electric unicycles. The Swagroller has a retractable trolley handle that makes it easy to carry when necessary. Or use the extended trolley handle to roll the unicycle.
The Swagroller has all-terrain 14-inch air-filled dual tires. The Swagroller has two wide metal footplates. The footplates are easy to fold up and down. They also allow you to ride in comfort. The unicycle has a total maximum weight-bearing capacity of 264 lBs. The high weight-bearing capacity makes the Swagroller suitable for both children and adults.
The dual pneumatic tires make the Swagroller a stable riding experience. The Swagroller does surprisingly great on a variety of different surfaces. You can make quick and easy turns. Listen to your favorite music through the Bluetooth speakers.
The Swagroller has many features. One of the most significant is a free app that can be used to adjust and control other functions. Install the app on your phone and link it to the Swagroller via Bluetooth. Once the app is connected to the Swagroller, you will have access to all of the Swagrollers functions. Use the app to listen to your favorite music.
Through the app, you can plan out your route on a map. As well as monitor the speed, temperature, and power level. If need you can adjust the unicycles balance and perform a diagnostic test through the mobile app.
Use the app to customize the LED light patterns on the front and back of the unicycle. LED customization isn’t necessary. If you don’t have the time or don’t want to customize the LED lights, just hop on and take off. The Swagroller’s LED lights will turn on. The LED lights will keep you visible after dark.
This compact unicycle is perfect even if you have to take longer commutes using public transportation. Enjoy a ride on the Swagroller from your home to the subway or bus stop. You can easily carry the Swagroller into the subway station. Once inside, pull up the handle and roll the Swagroller to the appropriate platform. The Swagroller is quite portable, and the retractable trolley hands make it easy to move from one location to another.
One of the advantages that the Swagroller has is that it does pretty well on mostly all terrains. The dual wheels struggle a bit on sandy areas, but overall the Swagroller does extremely well. The dual air-filled wheels function as one wheel and provide a much more stable ride compared to other unicycles.
The high weight limit makes this unicycle suitable for children and adults. That means that one Swagroller can be used by several family members.
The Swagroller stands out from other unicycles with its excellent app. The ease in changing the setting, monitor various unicycle settings, see a route, or access the lock motor feature has impressed us.
The Swagroller is presented as an all-terrain electric unicycle but there are a few issues with that. Climbing uphill won’t happen when the unicycle bears a weight of more than 189 pounds. Some people have had issues with a grinding or rubbing noise. The issue seems to be that one of the footplate brackets will sometimes bend over time and rub against the wheel. Unless you get this fixed, you will continue to hear the grinding noise. This has caused a great deal of inconvenience to some Swagroller users.
The white body and blue LED lights are aesthetically pleasing to the eye, but any falls or wipeouts that cause the unicycle to scrape against the ground may cause slight damage to the body. Any scratches or scrapes will stand out on the white body of the unicycle.
For all its power and all-terrain use, the Swagroller still has some problems. The tires have a hard time going over sandy or muddy terrain. Riding through mud of a couple of inches deep is a major problem. The Swagroller won’t be able to ride through that depth of mud.
It takes three hours to charge and that only gets you a maximum of 12 miles of range. Other unicycles have less charging time and still manage to cover more miles.
